As Winnie the Pooh famously said: “The only reason for being a bee is to make honey. And the only reason for making honey is so I can eat it.”
Take a visit to the Food Hall to discover something sweet. Honey, naturally made by bees, is thought to have a multitude of uses. Not only does it taste great on a crumpet or toast, but it is also thought to have some health benefits in the relief of hayfever and other allergies, healing wounds and supporting the immune function.
At Gordale, we support local producers of honey from across the North West including Greasbee Honey in the Wirral and Pennine Bee Farm (Honeycomb Co. Ltd) in Lancaster.
We have a variety of honey to choose from, including Scottish heather honey, English honey, mixed flower honey and vanilla honey.

See below for a simple, 5-ingredient recipe, ideal for a rainy day activity during the summer holidays or if you have guests.
