Get ready for a summer to remember at Gordale Garden Centre with our Children’s Summer Activities! This August, we’re hosting an incredible line-up of events – packed with creativity, discovery, and unforgettable experiences for kids of all ages.
Whether your child loves animals, magic, crafting, or science, there’s something magical waiting for them at Gordale. Tickets are available now, so you can plan ahead, get organised, and look forward to a fantastic summer of family fun.

🎩 Monday 4th – Freckles
Freckles is back once again at Gordale with her laugh along children’s magic show! Everyone is included in the non stop fun and if we get the magic right you may even win a prize!! Ideal for ages 3-7 but everyone is welcome.

🐴 Tuesday 5th & Monday 18th – Alwood Donkeys
Join us for a charming event with Alwood Donkeys, a local donkey farm based in Upton, on the Wirral. Meet the wonderful donkeys, learn how to groom them, play games, and enjoy a magical donkey ride.

🌱 Wednesday 6th – Mini Woodland Gardens
Build your own mini woodland garden with moss, twigs, flowers, and more – perfect for fairies and forest creatures, then paint a ceramic toadstool to complete your creation.

Come along for an enchanting meet-and-greet with our Frozen-inspired sisters. Enjoy magical interactive performances, sparkling sing-alongs, dancing, and photo opportunities with plenty of frosty fun and heartwarming memories.

🐾 Monday 11th & Thursday 28th – A-Z Safari Party
Get up close with amazing animals from A to Z Safari Party! From giant African land snails and snakes to meerkats, parrots, tortoises, hedgehogs, and more! Discover fun facts, hands-on experiences, and meet some truly incredible creatures.

🎪 Tuesday 12th – Circus Skills Workshop
Enjoy a fun-packed circus workshop led by Amy the Hula Queen — a real-life circus performer! Try your hand at hula hoops, spinning plates, juggling balls, bucket stilts, flower sticks, and gymnastic ribbons – fun for all the family.

🤹 Wednesday 13th – Mr Stix
Presented by award winning uk children’s entertainers of the year. Music, Mayhem & Magic is a non-stop show for all the family packed with magic, music, balloon modelling, and plenty of audience participation! Expect the unexpected as you become part of the fun in this interactive, comedic extravaganza.

🌸 Friday 15th – Bee Happy
Learn all about growing flowers to attract bees, paint your own lone bee hive, taste some delicious honey, and even make your own beeswax candle to take home — plus lots more!

🦎 Tuesday 19th – Reptiles Off Roadin’
Get ready for a wild family adventure with interactive animal encounters! Meet fascinating creatures like tortoises, snakes, hedgehogs, geckos, and even some creepy crawlies from the Critter Club—all in a fun, hands-on experience for all ages.

🧁 Wednesday 20th – Cupcake Decorating
Decorate your own cupcakes with icing, sprinkles, and sweets—then take them home in a gift bag.

Get ready for a Science Extravaganza Show from Professor Bunsen, packed full of fun, fire, and flames all presented by a genuine Scientist.

🧪 Friday 22nd – Messy Potion Workshop
Join us for a spellbinding Wizard Workshop where magic gets messy! Create your own slime, fizzing sherbet, and a bubbling magic potion. Learn to cast real fire and levitation spells (with a little magical help), and summon a spooky snake from the shadowy depths!

🤠 Wednesday 27th – Cow Girl & Cowboy Party
Meet our Toy Story-inspired cowgirl and cowboy for a wild west adventure full of photo ops, sing-alongs, and fun party games. Yee-haw — it’s a rootin’-tootin’ good time for the whole family!
