As a business we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact, which is why we endeavour to source and provide peat-free alternatives. The majority of our compost offering is now completely peat-free. Including our range of Rocket Gro compost which is made in the UK!
Multipurpose
Multipurpose compost is a nutrient-rich growing medium that serves various purposes in gardening. It can be used as a standalone material to feed established plants for up to a year. Additionally, it works well as a soil conditioner, enhancing the overall quality of the soil. Whether you’re planting in pots, hanging baskets, window boxes, beds, or borders, multipurpose compost provides an ideal environment for plant growth.

Mulch
Mulch is a thick layer of material placed over the soil and around plants. It serves several purposes in gardening:
- Weed suppression
- Moisture retention
- Protection
- Soil improvement
We stock a range of different mulches including premium bark chunks, straw mulch and composted bark from trusted brands Rocket Gro, Westland and Strultch.

Specialist composts
Designed for specific plant groups or gardening tasks. They’re formulated to provide optimal conditions helping plants or grass thrive. We stock a fantastic range of specialist composts including:

Rose, Tree & Shrub
Recommended for planting specific types of plants due to its tailored nutrients and extended feeding.

Soil Improver
Manure and composted bark act as natural fertiliser, releasing nutrients as it breaks down.

Moisture Control
Ideal for planting hanging baskets and containers, it absorbs twice as much water as ordinary compost.
